It is along these lines that the first<\/strong> major exhibition<\/strong> titled <\/span>“The Art of Fashion: The Age of Dreams and Revolutions, 1789-1968.”<\/a><\/strong> set up in the halls of the <\/span>San Lorenzo Civic Museum<\/strong> <\/span><\/a><\/em>a<\/span> Forli<\/em><\/strong> and promoted by the <\/span>Cassa dei Risparmi of Forli<\/a><\/strong><\/em>,<\/em> open to the public from <\/span>March 18<\/strong> and can be visited until <\/span>July 2, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The extraordinary event celebrates <\/span>the profound intertwining<\/strong> between fashion<\/em> and art<\/em>, two sister disciplines that have always dialogued and reflected each other, offering visitors an experience <\/span>
\n unique<\/span>
\n<\/em> e <\/span>overwhelming<\/span> among paintings, accessories, sculptures, vintage and contemporary clothing.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition, in fact, houses more than <\/span>300 works<\/strong> (including nearly 200 paintings and sculptures and 110 dresses<\/strong>) selected from prestigious Italian and International museum institutions such as <\/span> The Uffizi Galleries <\/a><\/i><\/strong>by<\/span> Florence, the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts<\/strong> <\/a> <\/span><\/i>by<\/span> Vienna, the National Archaeological Museum<\/strong> <\/a> <\/span><\/i>by<\/span> Naples and the

The continuing desire for <\/span>
\n Uniformity<\/i>
\n<\/strong> and the contradictory need for <\/span>
\n Differentiation<\/i>
\n<\/strong> are, therefore, the two essential aspects for fashion<\/em> to be born, evolve and continue to exist over time as a means through which people can show their <\/span> status <\/strong>social<\/strong>, expressing one’s <\/span>individuality<\/strong> and promote <\/span>change<\/strong> in society.<\/span><\/p>\n

But how does its diffusion into society take place?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

It is interesting to observe this process referred to as <\/span>
\n “Fashion Game”<\/i>
\n<\/strong> in which the <\/span>higher social classes<\/strong> use fashion<\/em> as a tool to <\/span>distinguish themselves<\/span> from those <\/span>lower<\/strong> who, in turn, seek to <\/span>emulate it<\/span> to conform to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

When, however, the difference between the two classes becomes too blurred and fashion<\/em> too widespread, it begins to lose its <\/strong><\/span>distinctive status<\/strong> and as a result people look for a new way<\/strong> to distinguish themselves by changing their style<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fashion<\/em> is a <\/span>dynamic force<\/strong> that drives toward continuous <\/span>change<\/strong> and manifests itself through the use of <\/span>clothes, accessories and lifestyles<\/span>, but it is also present in all other areas of <\/span>culture such as <\/span>
\n art, music <\/em>
\n<\/strong>o
\n architecture<\/strong>
\n<\/em> which are sometimes interconnected with each other.<\/span><\/p>\n
